Re: DYI Pyramid Hardcover Books

It is dead simple. Using a very sharp knife I just cut the cover off, then very carefully take the spine off. Then I'm just left with the bound pages. It was my first attempt I'm sure the next one...

Re: DYI Pyramid Hardcover Books

Very true, it still won't be able to wrap around the cover as it will still be the width of the book itself. I'd still have to print a 2nd section to wrap around the covers. I could always do cloth...

DYI Pyramid Hardcover Books

I know you can use print on demand place but I wanted to try to make a book by hand. So I made a book of the first 5 Pyramid issues. I added a table of contents and I removed all but one of the...

Re: The City in the Dungeon

My last DF setting was pretty much a Dungeon World. An infinite space filled with underground dwellings. The PC's soon learned that some weapons were not as great as others. Two Handed swords...

Re: Free Battle Tiles

I had issues with the bevel. If I could get them both to be the same colour then it would work out but having one lighter than the other causes issues when you rotate it against itself as they don't...

Re: Free Battle Tiles

I'm afraid my Photoshop skills are not that great. I tend to use Illustrator as I can change the dimensions to exact measurements where I've never been able to figure out how to do that in Photoshop.

Re: Are swords worth it?

Every RPG game I've played allows spears to be thrust or thrown only unless it is an "Eastern" setting.

Re: Are swords worth it?

Don't you suffer the -4 to -2 skill penalty for doing so?

Re: Are swords worth it?

I've always had a problem with the Spear not having a SW damage. It reflects a western thought that a spear is for poking only. Personally I find the spear to be the better weapon.

It's the main reason I started the project. If you use them please share pictures!

Re: Free Battle Tiles

I could post the main .FCW file for Campaign Cartographer, but I'm not using Illustrator to make these, only to correct the scale and save as a pdf.

Re: Free Battle Tiles

I'd be interested in what layers and effects you are using. I use multiple layers of water, each with transparency. Then I do the same for the dirt under the river. On the edges of the hex I have...

Free Battle Tiles

The Hexagon Battle Tiles are an on/off project since 2009. To see their evolution read my blog and use the tag Geomorph, Geomorphs and that should bring up the majority of them.

I just uploaded...

Re: Update #91 Dungeon Fantasy Companion PoD

Well it is perfect bound, colour cover, B&W pages. Beats my comb binder and my cheap printer.

Re: Other tactile game bits for DFRPG

I've not reinstalled CC3 since my new computer. I've been putting it off because it takes all day to reinstall so many add-ons.

Send me a Private message and I'll email you my template. I use...

Update #91 Dungeon Fantasy Companion PoD

I can't tell you how pleased I was to read Update #91 (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/847271320/dungeon-fantasy-roleplaying-game-powered-by-gurps/posts/2020417)! When the Kickstarter was active...

Re: I Smell a Rat battle maps (spoilers)

I was wondering about all the markings on the map. Well I have a Hex Grid Mat that I can use water based markers with. I'll have to use that. I could also whip up some dungeon tiles in CC3 as well.

Re: No Arms?

There are a couple of good Martial Arts movies that cover this. The best one is Crippled Avengers a Shaw Brothers movie. I did see another 70's low budget Hong Kong martial arts movie using real...

Re: Other tactile game bits for DFRPG

As I spend more money on my Wargame miniatures I've always defaulted to Cardboard Heroes/Standees/Paper Miniatures for my fantasy role playing games.

OneMonk Miniatures...

Is this something available to backers or on the web store? I own all the Cardboard Heroes but would appreciate some better quality files. I have a lot of paper miniatures and prefer to print them...

Re: [MH] Michigan Dogman - suggestions needed

Another good idea.

We only play once every six weeks but I work so much overtime it doesn't leave me with a lot of time for adventure designing. At the most I show up with rough notes. However...

Re: [MH] Michigan Dogman - suggestions needed

Brilliant - I've got a backstory now of it only possessing hunters, trappers, and fishermen. Curse started with a French Trapper who over trapped and hunted an area causing a shortage of food for...
